Hagbah

9 1/2" x 12"

Ink on Paper

"Hagbah"

The idea came into my mind first as a picture when I was reading a small phrase in the Siddur during Sukkos. Lifting the Torah up and the Etz Chaim is representative of all the things we learn inside, so it sprouts into a tree.

This isn't the best photograph but I was anxious to put it online. This is one of the ideas for the next painting. Either this or the one of Moses' hands after he drops the tablets.
